2. How to contact us
Data controller: The Linera Company Ltd (trading as Linera™ Coaching)
Contact email: privacy@lineracoaching.com
Postal address: 66 Paul Street, London, England, United Kingdom, EC2A 4NA
If you have any questions about how your data is handled, please email us first — we aim to respond within ten working days.
3. The personal data we collect
This landing page exists only to gather sign-ups for The Linera Letters. We collect:
- Identity data: your first name.
- Contact data: your email address.
- Consent evidence: the date and time you gave consent, and the IP address associated with your submission. This is captured automatically by MailerLite so we can demonstrate valid consent if required.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, analytics tools, or social media pixels on this page.
4. How we use your data and our lawful basis
We use your first name and email address to send you The Linera Letters — essay-style personal growth insights up to twice weekly, including occasional invitations and promotional offers to book 1-to-1 coaching services.
- Lawful basis for sending the newsletter: your consent under Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR, given when you ticked the opt-in box.
- Lawful basis for retaining consent evidence: our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR in being able to demonstrate compliance with UK GDPR and PECR.
- Lawful basis for suppression list after unsubscribe: our legal obligation to honour withdrawal of consent, and legitimate interests in ensuring you are not accidentally re-added.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any letter, or by emailing privacy@lineracoaching.com.
5. Who we share your data with
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Your data is processed on our behalf by MailerLite (MailerLite, UAB and MailerLite, Inc.), which acts as our data processor to store your details and deliver The Linera Letters. MailerLite's privacy policy is available at mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy.
6. International data transfers
MailerLite's subscriber data hosting is based in the European Union (Germany and the Netherlands). Where any data is transferred to MailerLite, Inc. in the United States (for example, for support or certain platform features), those transfers are protected by MailerLite's certification under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and, where applicable, by the International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses issued by the ICO.
7. How long we keep your data
- While you are subscribed: we keep your first name, email address, and consent record for as long as you remain subscribed.
- When you unsubscribe: your subscriber profile is deleted from our active mailing list. A minimal suppression record (a hashed or truncated version of your email address) is retained indefinitely so that you are not accidentally added back to the list. This is the ICO's recommended practice.
- Consent evidence: the date, time, and IP address of your original consent are retained for as long as you are subscribed, plus up to 24 months after unsubscribe to defend against any complaint.
8. Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- Be informed about how your data is used (this policy).
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure — request deletion of your data ("the right to be forgotten").
- Restrict processing in certain circumstances.
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Object to processing, including the absolute right to object to direct marketing at any time (UK GDPR Article 21).
- Withdraw consent at any time — this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
We will respond to any request within one calendar month, as required by UK GDPR. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@lineracoaching.com.
If you are not satisfied with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
